Energy the Future, a pro-energy advocacy group, is asking Congress to take a better take a look at opposition to knowledge facilities bobbing up throughout the nation.
In a letter to Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) the group requested lawmakers to open formal investigations into hundreds of thousands of {dollars} in funding they consider is incentivizing nonprofits and native teams to take up an environmental stance in opposition to knowledge facilities.

The group pointed to environmentally-minded nonprofits just like the Sierra Membership, Meals and Water Watch, Earthjustice, Items Jobs First, Piedmont Environmental Council, the Southern Environmental Regulation Middle, MediaJustice and the Athena Coalition which have acquired — and spent hundreds of thousands — opposing their growth.
New Enterprise Fund, the Sierra Membership Basis and the Sixteen Thirty Fund collectively acquired over $13 million from pro-environmental donors, in keeping with grant reporting.
