Extra complications are in retailer for Southern California drivers with the closure of a serious Calabasas highway to make approach for building on the world’s costliest wildlife bridge.
The short-term closure of Agoura Highway between Rondell Avenue and Hydepark Drive happens on Friday and once more on Wednesday, town of Calabasas introduced this week.
The closure comes as work is being accomplished on the $114 million Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing.
Authorities informed commuters to plan forward and permit further time whereas touring, with the closure happening between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Motorists are being suggested to make use of US 101 between Chesebro Highway and Liberty Canyon Highway and observe posted detour indicators.

The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing is supposed to “restore ecosystems that had been fractured and disrupted” by reconnecting wildlife lower off by roads.
The mission was initially pegged to value $92 million and end by 2025.
The Nationwide Wildlife Federation launched the #SaveLACougars marketing campaign in 2014 to lift consciousness for wildlife crossings after being impressed by P-22, a well-known Hollywood mountain lion.
P-22, who died in 2024, safely crossed each the 405 and 101 freeways to achieve Griffith Park from the Santa Monica Mountains in 2012.
His loss of life and story helped deliver personal donations to assist with the bridge’s constructions.
