The Republican-led committee is investigating “apparently politically-motivated actions” taken by Dehghani-Tafti, the Commonwealth’s Lawyer for Arlington County and the Metropolis of Falls Church, in a case involving a girl accused of placing up menacing flyers in Miller’s Northern Virginia neighborhood and making a weird gesture on the White Home official’s spouse.

In October, Dehghani-Tafti reportedly requested a neighborhood choose to restrict a state legislation enforcement search warrant associated to 66-year-old Barbara Wien’s alleged actions, and what data cops may share with the FBI. 

In his preliminary request for data from Dehghani-Tafti, Jordan described the prosecutor’s actions within the case as “uncommon” and mentioned investigators accused her of “stymying the investigation” into Wien, who allegedly plastered the Miller’s neighborhood with “”NO NAZIS IN NOVA,” flyers. 

The posters included a picture of Miller’s head inside a crossed-out pink circle and listed his residence handle.

A QR code on the flyers linked to the Instagram account of the activist group, Arlington Neighbors United for Humanity (ANUFH) – a corporation Jordan claimed Dehghani-Tafti is a supporter of.

The flyers have been put up on Sept. 11 – the day after Turning Level USA founder Charlie Kirk’s assassination in Utah. 

That very same day, Wien allegedly walked by the Millers’ residence because the White Home official’s spouse, Katie Miller, sat on the porch and pointed her index and center fingers to her eye, signaling that she was watching the household. 

Wien has not been arrested, and the warrants sought have been to analyze whether or not she had violated any legal guidelines.

The knowledge sought by Jordan included all paperwork and communications associated to Dehghani-Tafti’s workplace’s receipt and use of federal funds.

The committee additionally requested for communications between Dehghani-Tafti and her staff mentioning the Millers, Wien or Arlington Neighbors United for Humanity. 

In her response to Jordan’s November demand, obtained by The Put up, Dehghani-Tafti accused the committee of overstepping its authority, making an attempt to intrude with state and native affairs and improperly requesting details about a pending prison investigation.
